EVE Online has teamed up with Avatars United to hold a new contest-App Contest. If you are longing to build an EVE app or have a cool app idea, you should hurry up to enter the contest.
For those who want to build an EVE app, you can participate in the contest by following the next few steps: 1. Sign up as a developer on the Avatars United developer website; 2. Build an application using Avatars United's OpenSocial APIs; 3. Submit the application via the developer website and send an e-mail marked 'EVE Online App Contest' to eveappcontest@avatarsunited.com including your app's API key. The top three winners will be awarded generous prizes. The deadline is September 15th, 2009 at 23.59 CET.
For those who have a good app idea, you can enter the contest by following the next few steps: 1. Put together an image or slideshow (ppt, pptx, jpg, bmp, png) and text document (doc, docx, pdf) explaining the purpose as well as how the user would interact with the application; 2. Send an e-mail marked 'EVE Online App Contest' to eveappcontest@avatarsunited.com including your text document and image or slideshow. All the entries must be submitted no later than August 15th, 2009.
